This painting is very special to me. The king of the skies, with its fierce beauty, courage and strength, is the ultimate symbol of freedom and the land of the free.But, I have my own personal connection with the eagle.  I came from Albania, the Land of Eagles.  In the Albanian language (one of the rarest in the world) the country is called “Shqiperi”, which derives from the word “shqipe”, translated it means “eagle”.  Our flag is red with a silhouetted black double-headed eagle.  The red stands for bravery, valor and bloodshed, while the Eagle represents strength, sovereignty and independence. ...
