It's the morning of February 19th, 1945. A handful of United States Marines start the tortuous climb to the top of Mount Suribachi with one mission, to raise the American flag. Five men pushing together the flagpole into the rocky terrain is amongst the most iconic images in American memory.

This famous sight of the flag raising was brought to life through the Marine Corps War Memorial, where the flag soars endlessly on a 60-foot-tall flagpole. Blend's limited edition painting on canvas recreates once more that historical moment with lively colors and brushstrokes packed with action and passion, in honor of those who gave their lives for their country.

Limited Editions Description

MASTER BLEND (MBE-C)
The Master Blend Edition is created at Blend Cota Studios and limited to only 1 (one) painting. The painting is heavily hand embellished with oil paint and hand signed by Blend Cota. The oil texture is carefully treated to replicate the texture of the original painting, making it the closest to the original. The back side of the canvas will have an original hand-drawn sketch by Blend. This edition includes a personalized letter from Blend as well as one of the brushes that was used on the painting. A signed Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the artwork. All purchasers of an MBE-C will be the first to view and be offered all future paintings (editions) by Blend Cota before, being released to the public. Available in size 44" x 55".

ARTIST PROOF (AP-C)
The Artist Proof Edition is created at Blend Cota Studios and is issued in a very small edition. This edition is hand embellished with oil paint. Each is individually hand signed by Blend Cota. The Artist Edition is numbered on the back and bears the AP-C designation. This edition comes with a personalized letter from Blend. A special Blend Cota authenticity mark is applied to the backside of each painting. A signed Certificate of Authenticity is attached to each artwork. The AP-C edition is available in 40”x50” edition of 15; 32”x40” edition of 15; 24”x30” edition of 45; and 20”x25” edition of 45.

SIGNED NUMBERED (SN-C)
The Signed and Numbered Edition is created at Blend Cota Studios. This edition is hand embellished. Each is individually hand signed by Blend Cota.
